Stealing the blinds, plus a challenge update

A lot of people think that going for the blinds with marginal holdings is just a tournament play — that it isn’t worth the times that people 3-bet you in cash games.

Well, in my experience, especially in the medium to lower limits (not high stakes and micros), stealing the blinds can be quite profitable.

I am in the 35 percent attempt-to-steal range, but I watch pros and have stats on them that shows their steal range in the 40-50 percent.

The main reason for stealing is — in my experience — a player who 3-bets me in the medium and the lower limits, almost always has the goods.

If you don’t steal, and you play lower stakes, it’s time to put this into your arsenal. You’ll thank me for it.

The Betsson challenge update: For those who aren’t aware, I’m trying to turn $0 into $10,000 on Betsson. Recently, I cashed in the nightly Omaha freeroll for 70 cents, not quite enough to hit the tables yet. Look for me on Betsson, and say hello, I’m tonypoker13.
